Salted Caramel Sauce

Salted Caramel Sauce

Transform your desserts into decadent delights with this rich and silky Salted Caramel Sauce, a staple that every home chef should have in their repertoire. With just four simple ingredients—sugar, water, cream, and a touch of Martha’s Vineyard Premium Sea Salt—this sauce is incredibly easy to whip up yet delivers an irresistible depth of flavor. As the sugar melts and caramelizes into a beautiful golden hue, the addition of cream creates a smooth, luscious texture that perfectly balances sweetness with a hint of savory saltiness. Drizzle it over ice cream, swirl it into your coffee, or use it to elevate any dessert. Store it in the fridge for up to two weeks, and enjoy a burst of gourmet flavor whenever the craving strikes!

Ingredients:

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup water

1/2 cup evaporated milk or heavy cream

1 teaspoon Martha's Vineyard Premium Sea Salt

In a medium pot, stir together the sugar and water carefully, as to not get sugar on the sides of the pot. (This prevents the sugar from crystallizing.)

Cook over medium high heat, keeping and eye on it as it turns from clear to a medium golden brown.

Remove from heat, add cream or milk, and whisk quickly. Add Martha's Vineyard Premium Sea Salt.

Whisk for an entire minute, so that the sea salt will dissolve evenly.

Pour into a glass jar and refrigerate. The sauce will be thin right out of the pan, but will thicken as it cools.

Enjoy over ice cream, in coffee, or over desserts. This sauce keeps 2 weeks when refrigerated.
