This isn't so much a recipe as a kitchen free-for-all. Rummage all you want for satisfying snacks but nothing other than Avocado smeared onto healthy bread (toasted or not), a bit of chopped tomato for acid and a pinch of our activated charcoal "Naughty" sea salt will satiate you for hours. BONUS! This is a healthy snack!
Start with two thick slices of crusty, chewy sourdough, perfectly toasted to a golden brown. As the warm bread beckons, scoop out ripe, buttery avocado and spread it generously atop the toast. A sprinkle of flaky sea salt enhances the experience, while a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime adds a bright, zesty touch.
Make it your own with optional garnishes like perfectly poached eggs, vibrant chiles, or fresh herbs. Each bite is a delightful balance of flavors that transforms a simple meal into a memorable one. Ready to savor? Let’s get started!
                      Ingredients
-
1 avocado, ripe
 -
2 slices of bread (toasting optional)
 -
~ 2 TBSP chopped tomato (optional)
 -
~1 TBSP diced red onion (optional)
 -

~ ½ TSP Martha’s Vineyard NAUGHTY Sea Salt

Directions
Pull out plate, all ingredients, cutting board, sharp knife, spoon and fork
Place slices of bread into toaster (optional, of course)
Cut the avocado in half and remove pit to kitchen compost/trash
Either scoop out avocado flesh and mash on cutting board or score with fork while in shell then scoop out with spoon
Slice/dice tomatoes and/or onions on cutting board
Remove toast from toaster and place on plate, spread avocado on both pieces, add your tomatoes/onions then dry your fingers
Open your Naughty sea salt. Pinch a bit to apply to one slice. Repeat for the second slice. In total, use about ½ TSP as you can always increase the amount because, ya know, you crave this treat repeatedly.
Grab a napkin and ENJOY the umami Naughty delivers to your palate.
Recipe Note
- Use the best bread you prefer
- Substitute sun-dried tomatoes in oil or even diced tomatoes from a can when fresh tomatoes are terrible
- Add an egg for extra protein, spinach (cooked or raw) if you have it
- Bacon? Well, that's a now we just went from healthy treat to truly Naughty but, heck, if you've got it to use then do because waste is worse.
